AppSec Cali is packed with great talks by an international lineup of great speakers, top level all-day training classes, lots of prize giveaways, and parties during its 4 days at the beach in Santa Monica, California.

Ask yourself: “Do I want to go to the office, or would I rather go to the beach for two, three, or four days?“ If you live in the north, would you rather dig your car out of snow/ice on a few fine January mornings, or go to the beach? Go ahead, make your day, and ours, too!

Here are all the details you may need to effectively and efficiently navigate the training workshops and the conference!

• Just an important reminder to everyone: Tuesday and Wednesday are training days with a separate fee; unless you are taking training, the conference begins on Thursday.
• Please read the whole page, it will answer many of the questions you have about the logistics of the conference.

The RaiseMe career development team is joining forces with AppSec Cali this year for a one-day Career Fair in the Marion Davies House. Seasoned infosec professionals and new talent alike can sharpen their careers with group clinics and an inspiring talk by a veteran CISO. Bring your resume and our volunteers will also work with you in a one-on-one appointment.

Parking

• Parking lots do not open until 7 A.M.

If you don’t get a free one, YOU MUST purchase the $8.00 parking pass each day! Directions

From Los Angeles: Take the 10 West, which will become Pacific Coast Highway when it reaches the beach. At the second traffic light, Beach House Way, turn left into the parking lot.

From Malibu: Take Pacific Coast Highway south. Turn right into the parking lot at Beach House Way.

From Santa Monica (downtown): Head west towards the Pacific Ocean. Turn left onto Ocean Ave. Turn right at Moomat Ahiko Way (after Colorado/pier entrance). Look for signs for the Pacific Coast Highway (PCH). Turn left into the parking lot at Beach House Way.

Consider Lyft or Uber. Rides from downtown Santa Monica are under $10.

Just a reminder

AppSec California is organized and run by a 100% volunteer staff that comes from all over California to put on the conference. Please stop any of us and tell us what you think. We hope it is all good feedback, but we also want to know if we can improve the conference for you next year. Please also remember to fill out the post-conference survey with your feedback, and leave your name for a chance to win $100 gift cards. If you don’t tell what you like or dislike we will never know.

For those of you who have special dietary restrictions that we need to accommodate during the breakfasts or lunches at AppSec Cali, you need to let us know ASAP.
